FARIDEH

Farideh is 55 years old, she committed self-immolation 17 years ago. She only burnt her feet as the flammable materials just touched her feet. In spite of her willingness to marriage, she could never get married because of the burns on her skin. Her parents passed away and she is obliged to live with her brothers who are all married. She covers her face as she does not like to be recognized by others and to be rejected by the society accordingly.
Donations of money for food and medicine by U.S. persons intended to relieve human suffering are exempt from Iran sanctions.
